The Information Technology & Data Analytics organization, IT Global division, is seeking a highly capable and motivated Full-stack Developer to join our team in Bristol, UK.

This position is an opportunity to work with colleagues globally to develop and expand the capabilities of a modern business intelligence engine and data analytics product to improve efficiency, automate business capabilities, and enable enhanced decision making for our customers and partners.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrate various data sources and systems through a data pipeline into a data warehouse.

  • Maintain and improve a data warehouse Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Datamart.

  • Quickly become familiar with Boeing Global IT-related processes to enable implementation of requests and discovery of opportunities to automate or otherwise improve processes.

  • Develop and maintain web frontend interfaces to enable data-driven processes using a variety of platforms and frameworks.

  • Take ownership of complex business requirements through functional analysis of user stories, working with requestors to fully understand and document requirements.

  • Develop and test solutions through configuration, scripting/coding, etc. to implement user stories and other supplied requirements.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects. Perform thorough unit testing and regression testing of resolved defects.

  • Develop and maintain documentation according to team and project standards, including technical and user facing material.

  • Utilize enterprise standard ITSM and DevOps tools for requests, incidents, change management, etc., and development work within Scaled Agile Framework.

  • Time flexibility is required as off-hours activity will be needed to operate amongst a globally dispersed team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining full-stack applications.

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript.

  • Ability to model and analyze data from a computing technical and business process viewpoint.

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate well with others as part of a diverse, globally dispersed team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Working with Agile, Scaled Agile Framework or related methodologies.

  • Data modeling, data warehousing and data governance principles.

  • Experience telling stories via intuitive data visualizations that drive action and business decisions. Including experience with platforms such as Cognos, Tableau and Power BI.

  • Developing on, or interacting with, cloud platforms and cloud native solutions.

  • Developing ServiceNow applications or ITSM modules.

  • Implementing and maintaining Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration (CI/CD).

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Bristol, UK. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
