The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior-Level Industrial Hygienist to join the team in Berkeley, MO and be part of a world class company.

This position will serve as the Senior-Level Industrial Hygienist/Safety Specialist Integrator for the Saint Louis Region and the larger Boeing Defense organization including Phantom Works activities within Vertical Lift, Space Intelligence and Weapon Systems, Mobility Bombers and Surveillance, and Air Dominance. Will directly support and provide cross functional Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) coordination and consolidation of Phantom Works programs, functional support, research, test and development and facilities.  This role will act as the single source for the integration of EHS information both internally and externally within Phantom Works and EHS. Will leverage other EHS professionals across the Phantom Works locations within BDS to provide focused EHS support and activities to ensure the safety of Boeing employees and the safe mission execution of our business partner and their customers. Additionally, the duties include supporting incident investigation, implementation of company safety standards and best practices, and providing information and metrics in support of achieving functional and business goals and objectives. The selected candidate will be part of developing and promoting a culture of safety where human life and health is valued, where it is our strong belief that all injuries and incidents are preventable with safety at the forefront of Boeing’s culture and behavior.

The selected candidate will additionally travel to St. Charles, MO; Hazelwood, MO; and Mascoutah, IL to support business priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes

  • Develops and provides training and instructions

  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • 5+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits

  • 5+ years of experience collaborating across functions and organizations

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master Degree in Safety Related Discipline

  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Level 4: $110,500 - $149,500

Summary pay range for Level 5: $127,500 - $172,500
