The Boeing Company’s Specialized United States Infrastructure Operations organization is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join the team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO

The U.S. Specialized Infrastructure team is seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Solution Architect to drive cloud transformation and support the success of our Air Dominance program! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing innovative DevSecOps patterns with an "automate everything" mindset, ensuring that our cloud initiatives are both efficient and secure.

Your initial focus will be on cloud migrations, with a strategic transition into cloud optimization and the implementation of Cloud First strategies. You will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a secure operating environment across various cloud service providers.

By leveraging cutting-edge automation technologies, you will help build and sustain infrastructure, computing systems, and applications through a robust DevSecOps pipeline. If you’re ready to make a significant impact in cloud transformation and drive innovation, we want you to join our team!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial assessments of feasibility of architecture solutions, product suitability, and integration into system of system environment

  • Define requirements, designs and verifies architecture, data and information management systems and components

  • Develop migration strategies and approaches to move existing applications and workloads

  • Support creation of policy and process documentation to ensure application design compliance and efficient operations

  • Develop and maintain architecture views and models of current state and future state

  • Engage with Enterprise Architecture and other organizations in the development of standard tools; assists with assessment of impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle

  • Facilitate technical discussions with stakeholders through all phases of the software development lifecycle

  • Develop and enhance our DevSecOps operations in multiple cloud service environments

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Active Security+ certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of your start date

  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker containers, and Ansible

  • 3+ years of experience working on and/or leading agile teams

  • 3+ years of experience guiding the development of system design and requirements of solution that have been fully tested before released into production

  • 3+ years of experience deploying web applications (COTS or custom-built) into various environments such as development, Test/QA, Production

  • 3+ years of experience with major cloud providers (AWS and Azure Preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience developing solutions with Ansible or similar tools

  • 3+ years of experience with Terraform

  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and configuration management with release processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification

  • 5+ years of experience in a developer role

  • Experience with System Integration and design principles including service-oriented architecture principles and application integration patterns

  • Experience in Azure services such as Virtual Network, DNS, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Virtual Machine (VM), VM Scale Sets, Container Instances, Functions, Blob Storage, Storage Account, Archive storage, Files, Subscription Management, Monitor, Audit Logs, etc.

  • Experience in Manufacturing and Product Lifecycle Management systems

  • Experience with architect and enforce operational excellence, compliance, security, reliability, performance efficiency, scalability and cost optimization into solutions

  • Experience developing guidelines and best practices for cloud-oriented development and implementations including containers and container orchestration

  • Experience implementing cloud security and product security

  • Experience with COTS configuration, integration, and implementation into a large scale ecosystem

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $144,500 – $195,500
