The Boeing Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer(Mid-Level or Lead) to join the Boeing Additive Manufacturing (BAM) organization in Auburn, WA.

The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and training on shop floor capacity plans; creating and maintaining integrated master schedules, maintaining detail schedules; providing rational for schedule variance; tracking of parts through the project lifecycle; maintaining factory layout designs; optimizing new and existing equipment placement in the factory floor plans; process improvements; and optimizing factory flow.

BAM is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Lead Industrial Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements

  • Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows

  • Design, maintain, and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel

  • Conduct work flow design and analysis

  • Develop models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers

  • Research, design, develop, improve, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization

  • Create product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices

  • Prepare operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met

  • Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support

  • Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of experience with production systems design

  • 3+ years of experience with shop floor capacity planning

  • 3+ years of experience monitoring and tracking execution of daily plans’ and communicating status to all project participants

  • Experience with Production Schedules and Logic Networks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in additive manufacturing

  • Jira project management application experience

  • Project Web Application (PWA) experience

  • Experience (BCA and BDS) working and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $92,650.00 - $125,350.00

Summary pay range for Lead: $109,650.00 - $148,350.00
