The opportunity

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Procurement Specialist to join our diverse E-7 Enterprise team and provide procurement expertise to both our Australian and International customers. This position is responsible for leading a small team through daily tasks such as raising and maintaining purchase orders, RFx, and ensuring supplier cost, delivery, and quality. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience identifying, developing and implementing solutions while ensuring that practices and procedures are followed at all times. This position may be located in Brisbane, Amberley, Adelaide or Williamtown.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the open, inclusive and innovative team culture
  • Collect, organize, edit, and deliver data from various systems and databases to procurement agents and management to effectively evaluate processes and performance throughout the procurement cycle
  • Communicate with procurement agents and internal customers to assist in the identification and resolution of procurement cycle issues (e.g., quotes, billing, contracts, and other documentation discrepancies) to ensure contractual compliance
  • Reconcile invoices and outstanding payments
  • Ensure data integrity and timeliness by entering, extracting, and updating databases for procurement agents, management, and other customers
  • Process and file documentation and perform other administrative tasks to assist in the efficiency of procurement operations

Experience / Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement requirements within a commercial and defence environment;
  • 5 or more years' related experience in inventory planning and/or purchasing roles;
  • Systems knowledge and experience including proficiency with ERP purchasing and demand planning systems to perform purchasing functions and extract historical data;
    • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
  • Good working knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed across procurement and contracting and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (e.g., engineering, logistics and finance);
  • Ability to work with a highly level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment;
  • A willingness to work in a team environment; and
