The Boeing Company is looking for a Structural Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA or Everett, WA. This engineer will play a vital role in developing test plans and procedures, designing test hardware, and conducting structural tests to ensure that company products and services comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

In this position, you will design, develop, and integrate calibration systems, as well as design test hardware, software, and systems to achieve comprehensive test requirements that encompass the full spectrum of testing. You will review and validate test data, preparing and publishing detailed test reports. Additionally, you will conduct research in test technologies to improve efficiency and capability, while interfacing with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural and mechanical engineering, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency and a commitment to taking ownership of projects will thrive in this role.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Lead Structural Test & Evaluation Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans, procedures, and test equipment/software to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements

  • Design, develop, and integrate test systems to support testing activities

  • Create test hardware to meet comprehensive test requirements across various testing scenarios

  • Review and validate test data, ensuring accuracy and quality prior to delivery to customers

  • Prepare and publish detailed test reports that summarize findings

  • Research test technologies that enhance testing efficiency and capability

  • Manage multiple projects while interfacing with project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineering solutions

  • Exhibit self-motivation and a sense of urgency, taking ownership of projects to drive successful outcomes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ year of experience in structural design, analysis, and/or testing

  • Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or a similar CAD program

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in project management

  • Experience in pneumatic design, maintenance, and repair

  • Experience with Nastran or another finite element software

  • Experience working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary organization

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $85,850 – $116,150

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3):  $102,000 -$138,000

Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 4):  $121,550 – $164,450
