Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Project Management Specialist to join the KC-46 Pegasus Tanker Program in Tukwila or Everett, WA, Hazelwood, MO, or Jacksonville, FL.

This individual will join a team of Project and Program Managers supporting training, fleet integration, and growth for a rapidly expanding fleet of aircraft. The Project Manager will work across business units as part of a One Boeing team supporting KC-46 maintenance training devices and fleet sustainment, partnering with multiple stakeholders such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Business Development, Estimating, and Finance. The Project Manager will directly contribute to the success of the fielding, operations, and maintenance of the KC-46 for the United States Air Force and its global allies.  As the KC-46 fleet grows, this is an exciting time for the program. Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry
  • Assists with managing the development, production, and sustainment of KC-46 Maintenance Training Systems, including courseware, augmented hardware devices, and Type-1 academic and hands-on training
  • Supports the proposal development process by establishing proposal plans, identifying stakeholders, conducting requirement reviews, coordinating and facilitating functional inputs, validating proposal bases of estimates for quality and accuracy, organizing final proposal reviews, and navigating transitions from award into execution
  • Utilizes knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various departments/disciplines (e.g. Contracts, Estimating, Engineering, Finance Supplier Management) to optimize work-flow and identify/mitigate risks to execution plans and proposal schedules
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Integrates the implementation of the Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.  Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience with Program Management or Project Management Best Practices
  • 1+ years’ experience with Government acquisition and proposal development processes
  • 1+ years’ experience leading teams in a formal or informal role
  • 1+ years’ experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree or higher or equivalent military experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. Air Force or international government aviation training practices
  • Knowledge of U.S. Air Force or international government aviation maintenance practices
  • Experience with U.S. Air Force acquisition process and execution of USAF contracts
  • Experience with the KC-46A Pegasus or other large, fixed wing aircraft
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, etc.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $156,400
