Boeing Global Services’ (BGS)Government Services (GS) organization is seeking an in-country Associate Project Management Specialist at Boeing Japan Kabushiki Kaisha (BJKK).  The individual will provide assistances to program managers and senior leaders in executing government contracts and various key future growth initiatives at BJKK.  The individual is expected to interact with a wide variety of internal organizations and occasionally external customers.  BJKK BGS-GS continue to grow in its capacity and capability in supporting Japan Ministry of Defense, with primary focus on the contracts where Boeing Japan is the Prime Contractor.  Also, the individual will assist and contribute to near/long-term business strategy executions as well as maintain/improve operational rhythm of the BJKK BGS-GS team.

This position is based in Tokyo, Japan.

Position Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements.
  • Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans and tracks progresses of the efforts ensuring alignment with customer commitments.
  • Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case.
  • Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Identifies and provide reports on performance variances, project status, change information to project team.
  • Assists BGS-GS Northeast/Southeast Managing Director with various projects, meeting arrangements, and organizational tasks.
  • Travel in accordance with business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience in project management skills and tools including business level skills in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Japanese and/or US citizenship is required.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English with the ability to communicate, review and translate in both written and verbal forms.
  • Experience working in cross functional business environment.
  • Experience creating presentations/briefings for Senior Leadership.
  • Effective communication & presentation skills, sharp business acumen, and the ability to work independently and adapt to ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry.
  • Preferred qualifications that would be of additional value are an experience with interacting Japan Ministry of Defense, a certification such as Project Management Professional, and/or experience in a trading company.

Location:

The selected candidate will be required to work on-site (with some flex) at Boeing Japan’s Tokyo office.

Relocation

勤務地は東京のボーイング・ジャパン本社になります。

具体的な職務内容:

日々の業務内容は以下が含まれますが、これに限定されません:

  • プログラム及び各種プロジェクトの要件を満たすための統合的なプランニングにおける準備、開発、調整、スケジュール管理、変更管理活動などへのアシスタント業務
  • 業務計画に関連する評価基準の維持、分析、策定に参画し、顧客へのコミットメントに対する整合性を確保するための進捗管理業務
  • より経験豊富なスタッフと共にリスク評価、リスク緩和計画の策定、ビジネスケースの刷新等
  • データ収集、整理し、プログラムスケジュールや顧客、サプライヤに対するコミットメントとコンプライアンスを維持するための各種業務
  • プロジェクトチームに対してパフォーマンスのばらつき、進捗状況、変更事項などの報告作成と管理業務
  • BGS-GSの極東/東南アジア地域のマネージング・ディレクターに対する各種プロジェクト、会議調整ならびに社内業務等のアシスタント業務
  • 必要に応じて国内外への出張

求められるスキル(必須スキル・経験):

  • 2-5年程度の関連業務でのご経験(業務内においてビジネスレベルでのMicrosoft Office Toolの使用を含む)
  • 日本国籍もしくは米国国籍が必須となります
  • 日本語・英語双方で流暢にコミュニケーションが取れること(業務上における書類のレビュー、翻訳・通訳も問題なく行えること)
  • クロスファンクショナルな組織でご就業されたご経験
  • シニア・リーダー向けへのプレゼンテーション作成のご経験
  • 鋭いビジネス感覚を持ち、柔軟に対応しながら適切なコミュニケーションを自発的に取ってこられたご経験

あれば望ましいスキル (望ましいスキル/経験):

  • 大学卒業以上(学士号等)が望ましい
  • 航空宇宙業界でのご就業経験
  • 防衛省との交渉・業務のご経験
  • プロジェクトマネジメント等の認定資格
  • 航空関連商社でのご経験 等

勤務地:

採用後はボーイング・ジャパンの東京オフィスにて勤務していただきます。(オンサイト業務)
