Boeing Mexico Service Company is seeking a highly motivated Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join our Supplier Quality Regional Operations team, working out of the Tijuana, Mexico or Hermosillo, Mexico.

Join our dynamic team as we strive to enhance Supplier Quality performance, focusing on product conformance and compliance with our Quality Management System. In this pivotal role, you will lead initiatives to implement corrective actions and drive improvements, utilizing your extensive expertise in supplier quality and procurement processes. You will be reporting directly to the BCA Supplier Quality Regional Manager of the SoCal and Latin America team.

Our team thrives in a remote work environment, with the exciting opportunity to travel up to 75% of the time to various supplier locations. We value the autonomy and trust we place in our team members, empowering you to effectively oversee our suppliers. A personal vehicle is necessary for company-related travel, and Boeing will reimburse you at the applicable mileage rate according to company policy.

As a selected candidate, you will have the chance to collaborate with various departments across Boeing, including Supply Chain Procurement, Supply Chain Engineering, Global Field Operations, Engineering, and Business Operations, among others. Selected candidate will be required to perform most of the work onsite at suppliers at one of the listed location options, with some travel to other cities from time to time.  Candidate must be authorized to work and live in Mexico as a local hire.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier's quality systems, processes and products.

  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.

  • Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers.

  • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.

  • Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.

  • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.

  • Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed as required.

  • Evaluates supplier root cause analysis and proposed corrective action plans (RCCA).

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits

  • 5+ years of experience with conducting Quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments

  • 3+ years of experience with monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally as required

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Spanish and English

  • Must be legally able to work in Mexico

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience working with Electrical Commodity such as, wiring/harnesses and electrical standards

  • Experience with the application of improvement methodologies such as (Lean, Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma) to achieve measurable results

  • Experience with Aerospace industry standards: AS9100, AS9102, AS9138, AS9145, etc.

  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools

  • Experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an accredited course of study

  • Strong affinity for coaching and mentoring suppliers on products/process requirement from engineering and specifications

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Mexico. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Mexico. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
