Boeing's Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is seeking an Associate Procurement Agent (Level 2) to join our MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) / Consumables Team. The MRO / Consumables team is responsible for procurement of critical goods supporting Boeing's domestic sites. Locations available for this position are Seattle, WA, Bellevue, WA, Everett, WA, Renton, WA, Tukwila, WA, Mesa, AZ, and North Charleston, SC.

Our team manages a wide variety of goods including chemicals, gases, raw materials, office products, safety supplies, cutting tools, hand & power tools, and electrical related products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work the entire procurement lifecycle and manage multiple contracts and proposal activities. Responsibilities and priorities for our team include pre/post award contract administration, developing sourcing strategies, conducting RFx activities, negotiating and awarding long term strategic contracts, and managing supplier performance.

In addition to managing the supply base, this role will build and manage relationships with internal business partners and participate on cross functional teams to improve processes. This is a strategic role that requires regular collaboration with internal business partners & external suppliers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements

  • Oversee supplier activities; initiate and execute supplier improvement activities and integrate results into contracting strategies

  • Focus on lean related initiatives and projects, such as value stream mapping, process improvements, and identifying waste reduction activities

  • Communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance

  • Develop prioritization plans for delivery of products, services and data

  • Help to develop negotiation strategies; negotiate pricing and contract terms & conditions

  • Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents

  • Consult with management on proposal and contract development 

  • Conduct risk, issues and opportunities management

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain processes

  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working on lean related projects (i.e., value stream mapping, process improvement, waste reduction)

  • Experience leading supplier terms & conditions and price negotiations

  • Experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and all levels of leadership

  • Experience working with SAP Ariba and Tableau

  • Bachelor’s degree

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $60,300 – $87,000
