Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Airplane Systems Model-Based Engineer (MBE), reporting to the Airplane Systems Integration Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.

This Senior Airplane Systems Model-Based Engineer (MBE) will have a visible role interfacing across the entire organization as well as different external functions and business units and will primarily support the chief architect for systems modeling.

This position will be a partner role with the chief architect and also comes with focused technical fellowship mentor-ship in the areas of systems model based engineering and vertical and non-vertical systems product development. The successful candidate will be motivated and willing to engage across teams and organizations. In addition, this person will be open-minded and comfortable about working in a dynamic teaming environment while being a champion for related system model-based initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This role will be responsible for providing cross functional integration across all of our products.
  • This will include but not limited to the following.
  • Leads and Engages across teams and organizations.
  • Works closely with the chief architect for MBE related projects.
  • Supports strategy development and MBE related tasks across Airplane Systems.
  • Co-authors Process/MBE related documents.
  • Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
  • Develops advanced technical ideas and guides their development into final product.

This position is hybrid / Telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil 
  • Must have a degree in Engineering 
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
  • In depth experience experience using MATLAB/Simulink
  • In depth experience of simulation and testing and/or real-time lab integration
  • In depth experience of system verification/certification
  • In depth experience of functional validation and testing
  • Knowledge autocode generation
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. 

Additional Information: 

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
