Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Proposal Support Specialist to join our C-17 Program team in San Antonio, TX.

As a member of our Proposal Management team, you will report directly to the C-17 Program Operations Manager and will provide critical targeted support to a variety of specific campaigns; you will also assist with coordination, status tracking, and targeted process improvements to ensure the overall end-to-end proposal process is executed smoothly and efficiently.

This role will support a strategic campaign for the C-17 Services program where you will interact with both internal stakeholders and external customers to define optimized solutions for programmatic needs, as well as prepare strategic campaign plans and deliverable proposal products within the defined budget and schedule of your assigned proposal campaign(s).  Additionally, this role will support the C-17 Services program operations to deliver and maintain a wide variety of program repositories. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support key strategic initiatives for large-scale proposal activities as assigned by program leadership
  • Attend Proposal Team Status/Strategy and Priority Coordination Meetings to report on status of assigned proposal efforts and to serve as a back-up for running these meetings
  • Document strategic and working documents artifacts to effectively communicate and track proposal activities
  • Participate in various gate review meetings and coordinates input reviews, as well as contributing to assembly and presentation of gate packages for assigned proposal projects
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate various team reviews, as well as document the meeting and follow up on actions to assigned campaign to drive them to on-time closure
  • Drafts compliance matrices versus proposal requirements and working with Programs, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Contracts and Finance as needed to complete them on-time and with first time quality
  • Consolidating, proof-reading, and editing of specific requested proposal “volumes” for submittal to customer to ensure formats are correct and all required content is either included or has a specific exception noted
  • Helps to make sure artifacts for proposals are complete, and are maintained in the proper folder with progress through each process step updated in proposal tracker
  • Coordinates with Programs, Contracts, and Business Development to ensure timely follow up on proposals approaching validity expiration dates
  • Work on assigned program integration initiatives to drive effective decision-making
  • Create executive-level papers and presentations for senior program leaders

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Proven results in managing and delivering high-quality proposals to US Department of Defense customers on-time and with first quality
  • 15+ years’ experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • 15+ years’ experience in interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
  • 15+ years’ experience preparing and coordinating technical documentation (engineering drawings, specifications, statements of work)
  • 15+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced customer service-related environment
  • Intermediate to advanced use of MS Office products
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent work experience
  • APMP Certification
  • Experience with USAF Acquisition process
  • Intermediate to Advanced utilization of MS Teams and SharePoint

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $146,050
