The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization supporting the Executive Fleet Team in San Antonio, TX

BDS is a global leader in the development, production, maintenance and enhancement of fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, commercial and government satellites, human spaceflight programs and weapons. Key markets include aeronautics, space and weapons. Core capabilities are in development, production and mission enabling upgrades of integrated solutions.  BDS delivers the most digitally advanced, simply and efficiently produced and intelligently supported solutions to its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
  • Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance management & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives.
  • Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements.
  • Ensures the assigned team is executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
  • Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management. Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.

This position is expected to be 100% on-site.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing complex, cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
  • Experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team
  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 3+ years of experience with the RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in Federal & DoD government services policies, guidance and regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Experience in a business or engineering related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales, Human Resources, Engineering, Staffing)
  • Active Top Secret Clearance is preferred

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $107,950 – $146,050
