Job Description

Boeing Defense is currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician in Ridley Park, PA to join their team.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Layout, assembles, install, test, tackle and repair electrical systems in an industrial plant.

  • Complete and/or process paper work pertinent to equipment records and maintenance.

  • Make installations and any needed repair work by performing such typical work as cutting, bending, threading, conduit; selecting, cutting, stripping, wiring, installing and connecting wires.

  • Install, test, and trouble-shoot such typical equipment on medium and high voltage electrical power distribution systems, gear, motor control centers, motors, transformers, elevators, cranes, electronic instruments, relays, and or time controls, safety devices, electrical units on mobile equipment and machine tool controls

  • Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of trade practice as related to electrical installations and maintenance.

  • Must know wiring, electrical fixture, motor, and transformer capacities and be familiar with applicable specifications, ordinances, and codes.

  • Perform maintenance on all building and infrastructure electrical systems.

  • Give instruction to other assigned employees and assist Maintenance personnel in other occupations.

  • Perform work in accordance with oral and written instructions from management and in conformance with company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practices.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.

***Candidate must be able to work any shift***

This is an Hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Electrical apprenticeship program

  • Electrical higher education (Certification)

  • 3+ years of electrical experience in any of the following fields: machine tool maintenance, industrial, electrical maintenance field, or military electrical system maintenance.

  • 3+ years of National Electrical Code (NEC) experience.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
