Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Government Training Engineering team in support of Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers programs in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  This role will focus on the integration, test, and verification activities for training systems in support of E-3 AWACS, E-7 Wedgetail, B-52 Bomber, and KC-46 Tanker programs.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify system and subsystem requirements.
  • Works with team leads to develop system test plans and create requirement verification links to test procedures in DOORS and CAMEO.
  • Leads the development, testing, and updating of test procedures to support software, system, and acceptance testing.
  • Leads the execution of Qualification Tests with and without external customer participation.
  • Creates and submits work orders and gathers evidence of compliance for requirement verification.
  • Works with multi-disciplinary team to track progress of system development and availability to support test activities.
  • Acts as Technical Lead Engineer (TLE), mentoring and leading early and mid-career test engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):   

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 7+ years performing systems integration, verification, or validation.
  • 2+ years leading test activities at a program/product level.
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans and procedures
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of JIRA, GIT and other work management software
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Experience with Systems Engineering Best Practices
  • General working level knowledge of tactical aircraft avionics systems, subsystems, and components, to include flight controls, radar, communications and weapons, power distribution, etc. This includes the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces
  • Experience in aircraft simulation and/or training devices
  • Experience working with the Systems Engineering Lifecycle including System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and/or Technical Working Groups
  • Experience using Requirements/Test tools such as CMPro, DOORS, and Came
  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework enterprise (SAFe) or Agile in general
  • Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods

Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
