The Boeing Company’s Infrastructure & Operations organization is currently seeking a Senior Information Technology Project Management Specialist to join the Enterprise Compute and Storage Solutions Product team in North Charleston, SC or Kent, WA

Infrastructure & Operations is an essential capability responsible for delivery premier technology products and services to advance our enterprise digital goals and business outcomes. We build, integrate, and operate solutions including cloud, network, storage, client computing, mobility and collaboration systems globally.

The selected candidate will assume a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and management of project and program plans aimed at achieving strategic business objectives for compute and internal cloud. This position will require a steadfast commitment to maintaining adherence to established scope, timelines, and quality standards. This is an opportunity to develop and manage complex, enterprise-wide information technology (IT) projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage project(s) using traditional, agile or hybrid project management methodologies as appropriate

  • Develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze and maintain an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction while effectively integrating activities across diverse teams and partners to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing support of initiatives

  • Create and maintain a project schedule for each project by estimating, identifying, and monitoring overall project timeline, project milestones, tasks, deliverables, customer requirements, task dependencies, and critical paths

  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives)

  • Encourage effective communication and information exchange within the team and with stakeholders

  • Coach the team to apply Agile principles and scrum practices; remove impediments

  • Provide guidance and support to improve team performance and effectiveness

  • Anticipate and identify risks, issues and opportunities that may impact implementation then develop and implement mitigation plans

  • Maintain a steadfast focus on key objectives and goals while monitoring project progress to effectively mitigate scope creep and maintain alignment with established parameters

  • Utilizes a diverse array of media to effectively communicate information and ideas to both internal and external stakeholders in a manner that captivates the audience, facilitating comprehension and retention of the key messages

  • Ensure the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle including establishing and implementing quality assurance processes, monitoring deliverables against defined criteria, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with project management

  • 3+ years of experience planning and leading IT infrastructure project

  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple high-volume, complex, concurrent projects

  • 3+ years of experience in constructing/building and providing reports and presentation material as needed for assigned projects or Leadership review

  • 1+ years of experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.) and agile project management tools (JIRA, TFS, VersionOne, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification

  • Current PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project as well as Lifecycle Management Tools such as ADO and JIRA

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $117,300 – $170,200
