Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks experienced Flight Systems Engineers, Experienced, Lead, or Senior Levels, to join our team in El Segundo, California, to develop and execute requirements definition, flow down, systems design, analysis, design verification and validation, and systems integration and test.  You will also ensure flight sensors and actuators hardware meet requirements and are flight ready.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop system architecture solutions.

  • Plan and lead high NRE projects (Non-Recurring Engineering).

  • Resolve technical issues and ensure the spacecraft and system are flight worthy prior to delivery.

  • Develop solutions to assure customer satisfaction.

  • Perform trade studies to meet program requirements.

  • Assist with analyses to evaluate and optimize total system performance to meet customer and operational needs.

  • Teach and mentor other systems engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • Experienced Level 3: Typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

  • Lead Level 4: Typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

  • Senior Level 5: Typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

  • Experience working with customer program office personnel.

  • Experience performing trade studies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project lead experience.

  • Systems Engineering experience.

  • Experience with C or C++.

  • MATLAB, VBA tool development experience.

Summary pay range Experienced, level 3: $108,800 - $147,200

Summary pay range Lead, level 4: $135,150 - $182,850

Summary pay range Senior, level 5: $164,050 - $221,950
