Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for highly skilled Scrum Master (Experienced or Senior level) to join our growing Data Analytics Engineering & Integration team in Gdansk, Poland. However, candidates can work from our office or in hybrid mode from home if preferred.


Our team is currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Scrum Master (Experienced or Senior level).

This team is tasked with transforming the way BDS data is sourced, managed, and utilized to unlock insights to drive business growth and optimization. The team supports data needs for internal stakeholders, across BDS business programs and functions, and is tasked with utilizing data to inform and improve the full lifecycle of BDS products. We are seeking scrum master’s to facilitate and support Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) based development of self-service analytics tools that put the power of insights directly into the hands of users, enabling them to make informed decisions faster than ever before. You’ll be at the forefront of this transformation by enablement of crafting innovative, high-performance applications that make data accessible, intuitive, and actionable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate work of SAFe teams (typically two) in high complexity work streams to enable continuous flow of value from initiation to completion.

  • Promote effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Eliminate impediments that hinder the teams’ progress.

  • Coach and monitor the team on best usage of SAFe mindset, principles and ways of working.

  • Support the team's efforts to build efficiency and achieve higher SAFe maturity.

  • Facilitates or leads facilitation of SAFe Agile ceremonies and events.

  • Collaborate with backlog owner to ensure user stories are well defined, sized, prioritized and properly sequenced.

  • Support design, development and maintenance of scalable web applications that enable users to perform self-service analytics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, UX designers, and product managers, to deliver robust analytics solutions.

  • Stay current with emerging techniques and best practices in SAFe Development.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor or equivalent or higher in related field of studies

  • English language level – intermediate or higher

  • Existing rights to work in Poland

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experienced (level 3):

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Scrum master’s in software development or similar role

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Scrum, Kanban or other agile techniques

  • Familiarity with software development process

  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills

Senior (level 4):

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Scrum Master or similar role

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Scrum, Kanban or other agile techniques

  • Familiarity with software development process

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Scaled Agile Framework

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills

Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in the respective country. 

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. 

Candidates are expected to work from our office in Gdansk for at least 2 days a week.

Typical Education & Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
