The Boeing Global Supply Chain & Systems Engineering (GSC&SE) team is seeking a Project Management Specialist for the Design Practices Ecosystem in Everett, WA; Tukwila, WA; or Long Beach, CA.  In this pivotal role, you will lead the Design Practices pillar, establishing a robust Agile environment that transforms our business processes, tools, and training. Your mission will be to drive integration, development, and deployment of innovative solutions while ensuring that knowledge management remains a top priority.

The selected candidate for this position will need to demonstrate:

  • A passion for knowledge management and creating a positive, collaborative atmosphere
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems

GSC&SE is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior and Lead level Project Management Specialists.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead with Vision: Collaborate with leadership to strategically oversee and elevate the performance of multiple Teams, driving them toward excellence and innovation
  • Champion Agile Transformation: Spearhead the transition of teams to a customized scaled Agile framework, expertly facilitating key events such as PI planning, ART syncs, Scrum of Scrums, reviews, retrospectives, and product demonstrations to maximize team effectiveness
  • Cultivate Collaboration: Act as a catalyst for communication and synergy among teams within the Agile Release Train (ART) and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and shared goals Partnering with cross-functional teams, including the Design Practices & Product Standards Technical Board, Functional Chief Engineer Offices, and various engineering and program management teams, to deliver high-value capabilities
  • Empower Through Coaching: Inspire and mentor team members and stakeholders in SAFe and Agile methodologies, fostering a culture of learning and high performance
  • Drive Transparency and Accountability: Clearly communicate the train's outcome goals, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about delivery timelines, potential risks, and achievements, thereby promoting a culture of trust and accountability
  • Eliminate Barriers to Success: Proactively identify and remove impediments to workflow, escalating issues when necessary, while nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and resilience
  • Shape Strategic Direction: Collaborate in the development and maintenance of the Roadmaps and Program Vision, ensuring that the teams are aligned with the broader organizational objectives and are set up for success

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with SAFe or Agile methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer using the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing software
  • 3+ years of experience with Integrated Master Schedules and Agile Alignment
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of delivering quality software
  • Agile or SAFe Certification such as SAFe Program Consultant Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate large planning and solutioning sessions

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for senior level: $115,600 - $156,400

Summary pay range for lead level: $141,950 – $192,050
