The Boeing Flight Test & Evaluation Engineering team is seeking an energetic and talented Test & Evaluation Engineer - Flight Test Operations to join our T-7A Development Test team Edwards AFB, CA. The Flight Test Engineering Operations team serves to plan and execute the T-7A flight test program. They are responsible for coordinating between internal and external stakeholders to ensure test assets, software, detailed test plans and the required personnel are in place to support flight testing. They are responsible for maintaining the configuration of the test asset, including physical hardware as well as software loads. The ideal applicant must be self-motivated, dependable, have outstanding written and oral communication skills, and exhibit excellent interpersonal/team participation skills. They must also possess excellent analytical and organizational skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry-Level and Associate level Test & Evaluation Engineer - Flight Test Operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a good working relationship with engineering and maintenance personnel

  • Manage and maintain aircraft configuration for ground and flight test activities by communicating with engineering and maintenance.

  • Prep for next days ground and flight test activities by creating flight prep sheets, create mission test point logs, create weight and balance forms.

  • Maintain FTE Test Point tracking tool

  • Support and perform on-aircraft system checkouts and ground testing

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and maintenance to assist in aircraft troubleshooting.

  • Be familiar with aircraft documentation i.e. Tech Orders.

  • Plan and execute meetings for ground test and maintenance activities

  • Create daily turnover reports detailing current and future events

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Ability to travel domestically as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working on an aircraft development test team, especially as part of a combined test team with a USG test organization

  • Experience with military tactical fixed wing aircraft

  • Mission control room test personnel qualification

This position is for a variable shift; various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Entry-level (Level 1):  $73,100 – $98,900

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $85,850 – $116,150
