Boeing Defense Services (BDS) is seeking a Senior P-8 Field Service Representative to support the P-8 Poseidon program in Dallas, TX

Position Responsibilities:

  • Although standard working hours are the norm, the position requires a willingness to work flexible hours to support the mission and end user as needed.
  • You may also be asked to deploy to any location the P-8 aircraft supports, potentially on short-notice.
  • Act as resident expert to develop and recommend solutions to a wide variety of technically complex P-8 and AAS operational problems.
  • Work with US Navy Sailors, NATEC, and Navy Fleet Support Team (FST) to troubleshoot 737NG aircraft, P-8 mission-systems issues and AAS systems.
  • Extract relevant information from Boeing drawings and command media not available to the Customer.
  • Identify replacement part numbers for items that are not in the Navy supply chain
  • Provide on-the-job training.
  • Solicit customer feedback and take action to improve satisfaction with our service offerings.
  • Recognizing and reporting potential customer needs and documenting operational activities are key responsibilities.
  • Provides technical field support of company products. Performs troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems coverage.
  • Resolves maintenance and operational issues. Interprets technical documents and monitors product performance.
  • Analyzes technical data and evaluates maintenance procedures.
  • Develops and conducts ad hoc training.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Dallas, TX.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 or more years maintaining or designing 737NG or P-8A aircraft or mission systems.
  • 5 or more years flight line maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Willing and able (on potentially short-notice and at the sole discretion of leadership) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Currently hold or have held an Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license.
  • Experience with the P-8 aircraft operations or sustainment.
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance and parts manuals & engineering drawings, especially wiring diagrams.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and avionics problems/issues.
  • Experience working with US Navy Aviation (NAVAIR).
  • At least one year Quality Assurance experience in an aircraft maintenance or production environment.
  • A current/active United States Passport.
  • Ability to work independently without direct oversight.

Summary Pay Range: $103,700 – 140,300
