This position is with Insitu’s Transportation team. As a Traffic Coordinator 1, you will be responsible for coordinating small-parcel and domestic freight shipments, staging materials for “Will Call” and supporting domestic Quoting and Pricing Requests for customers. This position requires frequent communication with cross-functional teams and is also responsible for coordinating movement of inventory between our two warehouse locations located in Bingen, WA and The Dalles, OR. This position will also support our “On Time Delivery” goals by contributing to metrics and weekly reports to showcase accomplished tasks.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Process and either stage for pick up or schedule small parcel pick up for inventory dispositioned for “Return to Vendor”
  • Fulfill Quote requests for domestic shipments to be made by internal customers or programs
  • Fulfill Ship requests for domestic moves
  • Coordinate domestic shipments and customer pickups
  • Determine routing and arrange for shipment of non-urgent freight
  • Maintain “RTV Pending” report, escalating inventory that cannot be processed as needed
  • Generate Bill of Lading and shipping documentation
  • Communicate several times a day with cross-functional team members
  • Perform duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express, DHL, and Domestic and International Express Mail processes
  • Knowledge of operating procedures for packaging and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers)
  • General knowledge of transportation, shipping, receiving, and storage procedures to understand and identify potential requirements and impacts (e.g., Electrostatic Discharge [ESD], hazardous material, OSHA, EHS)
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource systems to include supply databases, shipping receiving, warranties and inventory management tools/processes

Education and Experience:

  • High School
  • Experience with small-parcel shipping

Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bingen, WA

12-month contract may get extended.
