Insitu has an immediate need for a Senior MRO Technician to join our Depot Maintenance group in Bingen, WA.  This role will be 100% onsite in Bingen, WA.   

This roles responsibilities will include:

  • Perform all modular assembly, repair and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Plans, assigns and validates work of others.
  • Performs pilot build of new products and documents procedural and texturing requirements for manufacturing application.  
  • Analyzes and diagnoses faults in the operational configurations of electronic systems and equipment.
  • Interpret circuit wiring, logic cable diagrams, drawings, specifications and schematics of complete systems and equipment and performs troubleshooting.  
  • Tests and evaluates aircraft systems, and secondary test and support equipment.  
  • Assist in defining test parameter and analyzing test results.
  • Coordinate the availability of equipment and facilities to support test projects.
  • Use and maintain hand and/or power tools.  
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Review and complete business documentation.
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
  • Maintenance and Retrofit Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices (e.g., unplanned event system, technical orders, kitting, overhaul and depot support).
  • Performing product maintenance processes, tools, troubleshooting techniques and standards.
  • Knowledgeable of quality systems (e.g., inspection process, company quality procedures).
  • Knowledgeable of air vehicle maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) to effectively represent the operator within the company.
  • Develop prototype modules and/or equipment.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • High School and 6 years of related experience
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit wiring, logic cable diagrams, drawings, specifications and schematics of complete systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices (e.g., lockout-tag out, personal protective equipment, grounding).
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities and data needed for defining delivery configurations. Ability to differentiate production processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
  • Knowledge of parts, materials and processes related to electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-optical components. 
  • Knowledge of repair concepts including repair station processes, component repair concepts, composites, procedures, and warranty processes and contractual agreements.  Knowledge of painting, surface preparation, sealing, soldering, printed circuit board cleaning and conformal coating a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic, general purpose and precision measuring test equipment and associated calibration requirements.
  • Knowledge of aviation systems or Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS) to include air vehicle, ground segments (e.g., ground stations and mission plans) and supportability a strong plus.

Must be able to work onsite in Bingen, WA.

Typical Hiring Range: 27.08 - 37.24
