Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Process Analyst to support the Manufacturing Training Center in Berkeley, MO!

This position is for the stand up of the new Manufacturing Training Center (MTC). The St Louis site is standing up a Manufacturing Training Center for all new hire mechanics joining our Fighter Programs.  The purpose is to take new hire mechanics coming out of the Apprenticeship program and build on that training to further enhance their learning in a safe controlled environment yielding mechanics that can execute in our current production environment.  The MTC will be delivering a blended experiential & repetitive approach to continuing the practical application of our fundamental skills by using integrated learning solutions including spending half the day on product producing in the line, and half the day performing repetitive skill projects and learning the production system. 

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Directs and leads the analysis of the current and future business environment and develops forecast, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives and program business plans under minimal management direction
  • Utilize developed models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data to solve complex problems
  • In partnership with the MTC Manager, oversees the development and forecast for the Manufacturing Training Center, to be used for manufacturing planning
  • Directs and leads development labor hour estimates for new or revised production needed and driven by MTC by utilizing labor standards, production design drawing reviews, and Production Operations concurrence to support program business
  • In partnership with the MTC Manager, oversees the development of production master schedules by leading the development of position plan/documents, rate flow plans, #1 flows, and tool sequencing plans to maximize the efficiency of equipment, material
  • Leads the identification and implementation of improvements to processes by analyzing current processes and utilizing established improvement methodologies to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to support company improvement initiative
  • Leads and directs the analysis of required changes to approved plans resulting from unplanned events Assesses the impact of the changes that occur to cost, schedule, resources, and delivery
  • Develops and presents to management recommended modifications
  • Coordinates negotiations representing Production to support schedule commitments or statement of work impacts for MTC
  • Directs and leads the development and support of shop performance metrics by analyzing data in order to recommend plan of action for Production and the MTC
  • Communicates effectively with team members and leadership to share data, plans, and results
  • Analyze changes to approved plans resulting from unplanned events

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3 years’ experience developing and analyzing large quantities of data using Excel

• 3 years’ experience observing, collecting, and analyzing data in a manufacturing environment

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with the ability to compile and present reports of a technical nature

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and present to cross-functional partners, including senior and/or executive leadership 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher

• Experience using Tableau (or similar) to create and manage worksheets and dashboards

• Demonstrable experience with lean manufacturing / process improvement

Summary pay range: $93,500 – $126,500
