Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Systems Engineer to join the Phantom Works Systems Engineering and Integration Team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO to support an exciting Phantom Works proprietary program critical to Boeing and our DoD customers. 

The selected candidate will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and systems engineers across the program to develop an integrated MBSE solution while embracing the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering strategy.  

The selected individual will support system architects, engineering SMEs, and other stakeholders in implementing, developing and managing the MBSE approach for the program, in coordination with the System Engineering team and program leadership. The ability to work and lead in a collaborative team environment on-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative to this role.  The selected individual will work in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written, and verbal communications skills are essential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the setup and maintain the health of the program Cameo/MSOSA Model

  • Leverage Systems Engineering and MBSE experience to implement, maintain, and refine the MBSE approach

  • Transition existing engineering artifacts into Cameo/MSOSA

  • Work with SME’s and architects to develop and document the system architecture

  • Document unit/system level testing

  • Support identification of gaps in unit/system testing and develop verification methods to close

  • Support requirements, verification, & testing development and documentation

  • Support integration & test of software in multiple test environments

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top-Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master’s OR a PhD

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO/MSOSA or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tools for systems architecture and model development

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Level 3): $97,750 - $132,250
