The opportunity

We are seeking a Strategic Logistics Specialistto join the Air Combat Electronic Attack (ACEA) Sustainment Program at RAAF Base Amberley to oversee the management and integration of the Australian Super Hornet and Growler Logistics support system. This position is part of the ACEA Sustainment Program core leadership team and will be required to liaise with customers at all levels both internal and external.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and background in logistics and analysis.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, co-located with the customer the Royal Australian Airforce.


As the Strategic Logistic Specialist you will:

  • Provide strategic oversight and management of the logistics support system
  • Integrate and coordinate all strategic logistics activities including budget management, system priorities, and change proposals
  • Oversight, integration and update of aircraft life of type management plan and associated activities
  • Mature the stewardship role of BDA within the logistics support system
  • Ensure the integration of the logistics support system within the broader support framework
  • Prepare, implement and monitor robust and resilient logistics support strategies and plans.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Business related tertiary qualifications, specifically around logistics and supply chain.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting business strategic activities
  • Previous experience working in Defence and/or Defence Industry
  • Familiarity with Australian Defence Force Logistics systems and concepts of logistics support
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and awareness of case management principles is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with company and customer representatives
