Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Business Operations Specialist to support 737 Program Management in Renton, WA. This role will support the 737 Leadership Team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive accountability for Enterprise Safety Management System (SMS) requirements across the 737 Program, ensuring clear ownership, action tracking, and timely closure of commitments

  • Provide strategic direction for SMS integration to embed safety management practices into program processes, decisions, and governance

  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise SMS requirements, applicable policies, and procedural expectations through monitoring, reporting, and escalation of gaps or risks

  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and safety stakeholders to align SMS implementation across the program

  • Lead program-level SMS planning, status tracking, and leadership reporting, including metrics, risks, issues, and corrective action progress

  • Support hazard identification, risk assessment, mitigation planning, and verification of effectiveness to strengthen proactive safety management

  • Facilitate the 737 Program SMS operating rhythm to enable data driven decision making and risk mitigation

  • Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing awareness, engagement, and accountability for SMS responsibilities at all levels of the program

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton, Washington.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 7+ years of experience performing in a support organization such as, but not limited to, Business Operations, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Change Management, Strategy, Project Management, or Supply Chain role

  • 5+ year of experience with strong presentation skills and the capability to effectively communicate data in Senior and Executive Leadership briefings

  • 5+ years of experience collecting, interpreting data, and leading high- level projects for Executives or Senior leadership

  • 5 + years of experience in a role that requires organizational skills with the capability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience working in or with an aviation Safety Management System

  • Experience working across organizations and cross-functional groups to ensure project coordination, implementation and completion

  • Experience with Boeing's Program Management Best Practices or equivalent program/project management processes

  • Experience working across multiple programs and/or functions in a manufacturing environment

  • Prior or current experience in Business Operations and/or Project Management Organizations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range:

$126,650 - $140,060
