The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer(Experienced and Senior) to support our Boeing Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations team located in Tukwila, Washington.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior Level Software Engineers.

The Boeing AI organization provides innovative AI technologies that enable the development of future aerospace solutions while improving the cycle time, cost, quality and performance of existing Boeing products and services. Employees work in a dynamic and distributed environment where the initiative and contribution of each team member is critical to success.  The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a distributed (and international) team. Many projects are multi-year and end with the successful transition and integration of new capabilities to Boeing processes and products. Project work can be funded by Independent Research and Development, Contracted Research and Development, or support to an internal Business Unit.

Boeing AI Applications and Innovations is searching for an experienced Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer to work within a cross-functional team in developing next generation generative AI, perception and prediction solutions for aerospace applications. Your work will increase the quality, safety and efficiency of processes that drive the aircraft product lifecycle.

Your creative and intellectual skills will be used to develop innovative, nonstandard advanced machine learning algorithms and applications for engineering, production build and test operations.  Additionally, you will develop data engineering tools and pipelines to filter, organize, and understand text, parametric system data, imagery, and other forms of data collected during the aircraft product lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity derived from the aircraft product lifecycle.

  • Apply the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from across industries, academia, and government

  • Build, train and productionize cutting-edge ML models

  • Develop data engineering pipelines for large aerospace data sets

  • Implement software development best practices to enable product deployment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada

  • 3+ years of experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, including the ability to integrate AI-driven insights into data architecture and analytics processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience with performing verification and validation for AI and machine learning algorithms

  • Experience with software development best practices

  • Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Desire to collaborate and innovate in an Agile software development environment

  • Experience with mobile application development (Android/iOS)

10% of the time

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Experienced Level: $126,650- $171,350

Summary pay range for Senior Level: $151,300 - $204,700
