Boeing Global Services is seeking a Manager, FAA Interiors Product Line Leader to join the Cabin Modifications Maintenance team located in Long Beach, CA.

The Manager, FAA Interiors Product Line Leader, leads the BGS FAA Interiors Product line and direct IPT teams to execute on cost and on schedule in order to achieve Long Range Business Plans commitments and support our customers.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the FAA Interiors Product Line organization; position is based out of Long Beach CA
  • Execution of all FAA modifications programs on cost and on schedule in order to achieve LRBP commitments and delight our customers.
  • Lead direct team and all execution IPT stakeholders (primarily Engineering and Supply Chain, as well as key functional team members)
  • Be responsible for overseeing and supporting the value stream –from proposals & sales through delivery –to ensure product line is performing at or above business expectations.
  • Represent product line expertise with sales leaders in direct customer engagements.
  • Technical and domain expertise and situational awareness required to clearly understand the customer missions, requirements, current capabilities, and threats in order to effectively communicate/create/deliver service solutions.
  • Leading advocacy and customer engagement with business partners to assure that we understand customer services requirements and provide the capabilities needed in current and future services to grow our core and new adjacent businesses.
  • Understand the competitive environment of interiors modifications and customer segmentation to create the discriminators required to compete and win against our competitors.
  • Protect current/core business portfolio through unparalleled customer understanding and linkage to optimal products and services

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Global and organizational matrix experience
  • Profit and Loss experience with demonstrated expertise at driving execution and integration with proven ability to capture new business.
  • Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and Program Management partnership
  • Drive integration and execution
  • Strategic Vision and Leadership/ Thought Leadership Ability to manage, prioritize and execute a portfolio of several products
  • Exceptional people skills with proven ability in change management and leading an innovative, collaborative growth-oriented culture with an embedded foundation of quality and safety.
  • Keen ability to foster and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders –customers, suppliers, and across Boeing enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Applicable Master’s Degree, such as ENG, MBA and Supply Chain
  • Experience managing large scale airplane interior modifications
  • A strong natural leadership style that moves people to act, motivates and inspires excellence and innovation
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in program execution to schedule and budget.
  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
  • Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: 168,300 – 227,700
