Boeing India Engineering has an immediate opening for an Associate Power Electronics Design and Analysis Engineer to work with the customer support teams working in areas of Power Electronics, AC-DC systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work complex technical challenges in support of safety operation and return to service.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Power Electronics Design Engineer. Boeing India Engineering oversees the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of LRU designs for various Avionics systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The engineer would be analyzing customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for complex Power supplies ranging from 25W to 1KW.

  • The duties will include circuit design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification for projects involving digital and analog circuit design.

  • Responsible for digital design, worst case circuit analysis, and communications systems

  • Ability to simplify circuits and explain the underlying concepts clearly

  • Use DFM, DFA and DFT concepts to create manufacturable and testable designs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • Bachelor's in engineering degree or higher

  • 7 or more years' in Electronics Design.

  • Experience with Analog, Digital and Power Design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong Knowledge in power electronics with hands on with DC- DC converter designs, AC/DC converter design for Avionics Application.

  • Hands on experience in design AC-DC converters like PFC boost, PFC fly back with all the inrush protection and harmonic compliant circuits.

  • Circuit Design and application of Six Sigma principles for Analysis like WCCA, Part Stress analysis, Derating etc.

  • Selection of components to be used in Avionics Electronics Designs.

  • Simulation experience and creation of behavioral models with MATLAB, LTspice and SABER.

  • Experience with digital/analog electronics.

  • Experience with Power Integrity analysis, Hyperlynx SI, Timing Analysis.

  • Experience with Mentor suite of eCAD tools

  • Experience with Manufacturing of Electronic Assemblies (manufacturing readiness assessments, Rapid Prototyping, dfmat, electronics manufacturing) Experience with Manufacturing of Electronic Assemblies (manufacturing readiness assessments, Rapid Prototyping, dfmat, electronics manufacturing)

  • Experience and development and certification to DO-160 and MIL-STDs

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 7 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 5 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
