Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Customer Support is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Senior Manager to lead the Maintenance Programs Engineering (MPE), Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Wire Diagram Integration (WDI) teams in Seal Beach, California

This position will be responsible for workforce management, talent management, and technical excellence. Candidates must possess outstanding leadership, technical, management, systems thinking, and communication skills. They should have demonstrated experience working with program, capability, function, and human resources management at all levels. Our mission is to ensure the highest quality output is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the Boeing fleet and exceeding the expectations of our amazing customers.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to lead teams working on sophisticated technical challenges in support of safety operations. In this position, you will engage with program offices, service engineering, design engineering teams, field service teams, Fleet Chief Offices, U.S. and International commercial customers/suppliers, Boeing Global Service (BGS), Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), United States Air Force (USAF), and regulatory agencies.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Oversees the development and validations of Boeing Manuals such as the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR), Maintenance Planning Data (MPD) and Wire Diagram Manual (WDM).
  • Oversees and leads the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of maintenance programs engineering tasks, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Provides technical oversight and approval of maintenance engineering approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):             

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in support of aerospace products, which should include commercial and/or military airplane. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing or supporting large projects, working with many stakeholders, including stakeholders in different cultures.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team.
  • Experience with US or Foreign regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with organizational and team-building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of the MSG-3 Analysis Aircraft Scheduled Maintenance.
  • Experience in non-recurring or new product development.

Summary Pay Range: $166,600 - $225,400
